Coloured Pencils

Coloured Pencils

I've got to say that I absolutely love coloured pencils and they have by far become my preferred medium of choice to draw with. I used to hate using coloured pencils and always turned to felt tip pens or tried to get good art markers, but that was all before I discovered the vast array of high quality coloured pencils and various different types of pencils available.

Primarily, I will be reviewing and talking about coloured pencils on this blog, however, I will also be reviewing many other art supplies that will hopefully help, those of us just starting out in the world of art, make informed choices before purchasing their supplies.

Unfortunately for my wife, I can be a little bit obsessive and as a result I have accumulated quite a few high quality art supplies. In actual fact, I would say that some of my supplies are wasted on my lack of talent, but I am certainly enjoying the process of hopefully improving my art and doing the supplies a justice.

Coloured Pencil Brands

As far as the coloured pencils are concerned, I will be reviewing some of the highest quality coloured pencils, such as Faber Castell, Caran d'ache and Derwent; to some of the lower quality brands such as Stabilo, Staedtler and Crayola etc. I will compare how they stack up against each other and decide weather or not the tools can be either blamed or praised for good or bad art work.

Along with reviewing art supplies, I will also be adding links to the cheapest places to purchase that particular product. Sometimes it can be difficult and time consuming to track down the cheapest place to purchase a product, so I will be doing just that for you and letting you chose, should you decide to buy them.

So sit back and relax while I bring to you, a wide range of reviews on products you may be looking to invest in, I will supply you with the back to back comparisons, the testing on different papers, how they blend with various types of blenders etc. I also intend on starting a YouTube channel to coincide with the blog, however that may take a few days longer to setup, but as soon as it is up and running, you will be the first to know.

I hope you enjoy my blog and I hope you gain valuable information that may save you a few pounds or bucks here and there. I also really look forward to meeting new people. I've not been involved with the art scene for very long, but every single person I have encountered via YouTube or personal web sites, they have always been polite, incredibly willing to help and always friendly, so I am really looking forward to making some new friends.
